絵本の古本屋件ギャラリーであるpopotameにおいて、店舗及びギャラリースペース全体を使ったインスタレーションのシリーズVol.1

日常と変わらず営業を行う書店内において、複数のモニターとプロジェクターによる映像と音、動く作品などで、会場である書店内とギャラリー空間のすべてをインスタレーションした。

一度誰かの手にわたり、そこでの時間を含んだ古本が大半を占める壁一面の書棚。その中に含まれる物語や時間とともに、作家が映像におさめた空間や音が動き、交差する。

それぞれの映像は同時に流れるが、音はどれか一つだけのものが流れている。
気配や空耳にも似たささやかな仕掛け。

Vol.1 of the series 'Mariko ASAI Works in Popotame'. Popotame is a secondhand book shop and also heve a small gallery.
This is a plan to make a installation all over the space.

In second hand book shop,I mede a installation of 5 videos and wall painting and yellow strings moving with the air.

The book shop is full of books(stories) that someone have had and spend time with.
The stories.sound,and time in the 5 videos that I have shot spend the time with them.

5 videos runs in same time, but the sound of them runs one by one.

その日マイクをオフにしたままで、撮影をしてしまった。

不調のカメラ、テープも傷ついていた。再生はできるけど、macに取り込もうとすると、２、３秒で止まってしまう。
少しずつ取り込む。その度にずれる時間．

ライブ直前、ギターが壊れ、サンプリングマシーンだけでのステージだった。
美しい声の歌手。
カールブラウと、その娘シエル
彼のライブを聴いたのはそのとき一度だけ。

シエルの母親は、'She is so serious for dancing.'とおしえてくれた。

I shot his live with mike off through carelessness.

The tape have been little mared as the video camera was also not good condition.
It stopped every 2,3 seconds to capture to my mac.
A time lag came into being every 2,3 seconds.

Just before the live show,he found his guiter broken,so he sang with only his sample machine.
He is a singer with beautiful voice,Karl Braw
And his daughter,Ciel.
It was only chance I hear his live.

Ciel's mother told me 'She is so serious for dancing.'

2003二階堂和美さんのアメリカツアーのロードムービーを撮影した。一ヶ月の行程，テープは５５本。
すべてをキャプチャーしていくと、意図的に追っている対象の外側に、自分が目をカメラを向けていたにもかかわらず、見えていなかったものたちがが迫って来た。
自分がそこにいたのに，見ていなかったものを，もう一度見直してみる。

I have shot a road movie of KazumiNikaidoh's Us tour.
For a month, I spent 55 video tapes .

Capturing all the tapes,I found many scene out of my sight in the videos.
The video of to gaze something I didn't notice though I saw .
